Today I am going to review Lakme 9 to 5 matte lipstick in the shade MB1 Coffee Command. Lakme 9 to 5 The Office Stylist Range  consists of a wide collection for daily office wear with subtle shades that require no touch-ups through the day

I was gifted this shade by my friend on my birthday last year. That time I was really in search of a perfect nude shade for daily office wear n I got it :D

Description:

Lakmé 9 to 5 brings you a range of 15 high performance shades that sit on your lips all day long. Enriched with Vitamin E; the formula conditions your lips & softens them with wheat germ oil. Add some elegance and achieve smooth lips with a touch of matte.

How to apply: 

Step 1: Pull out the cap.

Step 2: Start applying from the center of your upper lip.

Step 3:Work from the center towards the outer edges of your lip, following the contours of your mouth.

Step 4: Glide across the entire bottom lip.

Price: Rs. 425 /-

This Retails for Rs. 425 /- which I think is a little bit in between affordable and expensive. But you can always find good discounts online.

Quantity: 3.6 ml

You get 3.6 ml of the product which is a decent amount :)

Packaging: 

It comes in a rose gold colored packaging along with the box. I just loved how classy and royal it looks because of the rose gold finish.

All the details are mentioned on the box ( Price, Shade, Quantity, Expiry Date etc.) except ingredients :(

It doesn't have a standard pointed shape of lipstick bullet. The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly. It shuts properly with a click lock. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom. 

 Shade:

This is peachy brown shade without any shimmer so it is great for daily wear. It appears brown in the bullet but it looks very natural on the lips. Also this is the kind of nude that will suit all skintones. :)

This is my perfect MLBB shade :)

Pigmentation:

I love how pigmented it is!  In single swipe only, it gives enough coverage.

Texture: 

In spite of being matte, it has a soft and creamy texture. Hence it glides on the lips very easily, without tugging or pulling. 

Application:

Application is very easy because of the creamy texture. It feels very smooth on the lips. Also it is very lightweight. It doenst feel heavy on the lips. But if you try to layer it more than twice, it will bleed.

Smell: 

It smells very nice and different than what usually lipsticks smell like. It has a mild citrusy smell which I love. The smell stays till you apply the lipstick. After that it fades.

Finish:

It gives a perfect matte finish without making your lips feel dry but if you have dry lips it might accentuate dry patches. Also it can settle into fine lines.  It does transfer a bit. 

Staying Power:

This lipstick stays for 5-6 hours which is pretty decent. It can survive light snacks and drinks. After a heavy meal, it fades gradually, it doesnt completely disappear.

All in all, if you are looking for medium budget office wear lipsticks, go with this one. Its a great MLBB shade for a lot of skintones. :)
